Bassettbaby drop-side cribs with external plastic hardware

Issued November 23, 2010
What to do
Consumers should carefully examine the drop-side hardware for any signs of damage. If consumers determine that the drop-side hardware is broken, loose, missing, or deformed, or if there are any other reasons for concern, consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cribs and find an alternative safe sleeping environment for their baby. Consumers should not return the crib. Bassettbaby is offering a free retrofit kit that will immobilize the drop side to affected consumers. Health Canada has not yet assessed the safety of the proposed kits. For more information, consumers may contact Bassettbaby at 1-800-308-7485 between 10AM and 6PM ET, Monday through Friday or visit the Bassettbaby website . Date modified: 2010-11-23
