Drop-side Cribs by Simmons Juvenile Products

Issued June 24, 2010
What to do
Consumers should carefully examine the drop-side hardware for any signs of damage. If consumers determine that their drop-side has been installed upside down, or that the drop-side hardware is broken, loose, missing, or deformed, or if there are any other reasons for concern, consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cribs and find an alternative safe sleeping environment for their baby. Consumers should not return the crib. Simmons is offering a free retrofit kit to affected consumers. However, due to the unavailability of parameters involved in the testing, Health Canada remains unable to assess the retrofit kit. For more information, consumers may contact Simmons online through the Simmons recall website or by phone at 1-877-342-3439.
