Issue
Health Canada is advising consumers that the Sabre Glue Gun may pose a safety hazard to users (e.g. burn, shock). The product has not been evaluated for safety against any Canadian standards and bears an unauthorized cUL (Canadian Underwriters Laboratories Inc.) certification mark. Approximately 2,000 of these affected glue guns were sold at Dollarama stores across Canada in 2012.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the Sabre Glue Gun and dispose of it following municipal waste guidelines.
