Visonic Ltd. recalls Visonic Amber SelectX and Amber Select Personal Emergency Response System Kits

What to do
Consumers should immediately contact their Visonic alarm installation professional to determine if their Amber base station is set to Common Mode Area, and if so, to either reset their unit to another mode or make other system changes, such as adding an additional base station. Only a professionally-trained PERS system installer can identify and modify the particular mode configuration. Owners are also reminded to manually test their Amber PERS pendant regularly for low battery status. For more information, consumers may contact Visonic at 1-800-223-0020 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST Monday through Friday or visit the firm’s website and click on North America and click on Product News under the Solutions & Products tab for more information about the recall. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
