Expanded Recall: IKEA recalls IKEA KRITTER and SNIGLAR Junior Beds

Issue
The metal rod connecting the guard rail to the bed frame can break in use, posing a laceration hazard. There has been one incident in Canada and one in the United States of the metal rod on the beds breaking. The incident in Canada involved a minor scratch injury. No injuries have been reported in the United States. IKEA has received one additional report from the UK of a metal rod on a SNIGLAR bed breaking. A child received a small scratch to the arm from the broken metal rod.

What to do
Customers may return their KRITTER or SNIGLAR junior beds to their nearest IKEA store for a full refund or exchange. Further information can be found online at IKEA's website and click on the recall link. Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and IKEA Canada. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
