Ottawa - Health Canada is updating Canadians and Canadian healthcare practitioners regarding Fresenius Medical Care’s voluntary recall of “NaturaLyte Sodium Bicarbonate Liquid Concentrate” in 6.4L and 8L volumes due to bacterial contamination. As of today, Health Canada has provided an update on all affected lots and posted advice for patients, hospitals and home patient programs . Health Canada will continue monitoring the expanded recall and working with the company to help ensure patients and healthcare professionals are informed. Fresenius Medical Care has indicated to Health Canada that it has shipped replacement product to customers and their patients.
