Kidde Recalls Residential Smoke Alarms and Combination Smoke/CO Alarms

What to do
Customers should immediately check the model number and date code on their smoke alarms or combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to determine if any of their devices are included in the recall. If so, they should contact Kidde Canada toll-free at 1-888-784-2323 between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET Monday through Friday regarding a free replacement smoke or combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm. Consumers should not take the alarm out of service until they receive a replacement. Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
