Samsung Electronics Canada is asking consumers to register with them to receive details of the remedy. The remedy includes a customer update kit, a free in-home repair and a one-year extension of the manufacturer’s warranty. Alternatively, owners can choose to receive a prorated rebate towards the purchase of a replacement Samsung washer. Until an in-home repair is completed or the washer replaced, Samsung Electronics Canada is recommending that consumers with affected models only use the lower speed delicate cycle when washing bedding, bulky or water-resistant materials.
