Consumers who purchased the prepackaged products may return recalled products to their retailer for a replacement product or reimbursement. Consumers who purchased pig ears sold in bulk should contact their retailer to determine whether their product is included in the recall. It is recommended that consumers always wash their hands with soap and running water after feeding, handling or cleaning up after their pets. All surfaces that come into contact with animal food or sick animals should also be cleaned. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA) prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or given away in Canada.
