Baxter recalls one lot of DIANEAL peritoneal dialysis solution due to the potential presence of particulate matter

Health Canada is advising Canadians that Baxter Corporation is voluntarily recalling one lot of DIANEAL PD4 1.5% peritoneal dialysis solution in the 5-litre bag format due to the potential presence of particulate matter within the connectors. DIANEAL is a sterile peritoneal dialysis solution used for patients whose kidneys are not working properly. The dialysis solution is used in hospitals and home settings.

Immediately examine your stock to determine whether you have product from the affected lot. If any is found, speak to your healthcare provider immediately regarding replacement product.
