Consumers should immediately stop operating vehicles that have a KN-204 OR KN-204C oil filter installed, until they have determined whether or not the filter is affected by the recall. Consumers who have verified that their KN-204 or KN-204C oil filter has one of the seven listed date codes, should not operate their vehicles until the oil filter is replaced. K&N will replace affected oil filters at no charge or provide a refund of the purchase price. Oil filters affected by the recall should be disposed of according to local and provincial law. Consumers may contact K&N toll-free at 1-800-643-6320 between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm PST Monday to Friday, or send an email to make arrangements to obtain a replacement oil filter or refund of the purchase price.
