Trek Kickster Balance Bicycle recalled due to fall hazard

Product: Trek Kickster Balance Bicycle. Issue: The steer tube clamp may break, posing a potential fall hazard. What to do: Immediately stop using the affected bicycle and bring it to a local Trek retailer location for a free replacement of the clamps. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact a Trek retailer for a free replacement of both the steer tube and seat tube clamps. For more information, consumers may call the Trek customer service line at 1-800-373-4594 from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., CST, or visit the company's website . Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission’s website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
