Trek Kickster Balance Bicycle recalled due to fall hazard

Product: Trek Kickster Balance Bicycle. Issue: The steer tube clamp may break, posing a potential fall hazard. What to do: Immediately stop using the affected bicycle and bring it to a local Trek retailer location for a free replacement of the clamps. Affected products What you should do Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Trek Bicycle Corporation.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact a Trek retailer for a free replacement of both the steer tube and seat tube clamps. For more information, consumers may call the Trek customer service line at 1-800-373-4594 from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., CST, or visit the company's website . Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission’s website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
