Product: Vinyl Protective Covers with bungee tie-downs for Sunsetter Motorized Awnings. Issue: The manual removal of the bungee tie-downs can cause the awning to open unexpectedly with enough force to strike a person, causing an injury. What to do: Immediately stop attempting to remove or install the recalled vinyl cover and contact the company to obtain a free safety clip repair kit. Affected products What you should do
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop attempting to remove or install the recalled vinyl cover and contact the company to obtain a free safety clip repair kit. If you own a vinyl protective cover with bungee tie-downs, please contact Multiple Awnings for your free safety clip Repair Kit. The kit includes: free breakaway safety clips (that replace the bungee tie-downs provided with the cover); instructions for their use; and instructions on how to safely remove any installed bungee tie-downs. For more information, Consumers may contact Multiple Awnings Customer Service by phone at 1-866-441-4182, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or by email to obtain a free Safety Clip Repair Kit. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada, without the safety clip Repair Kit. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
