B-Air and BlueDri Blower Fans recalled due to risk of fire hazard

Product: Intertex LLC B-Air and BlueDri Blower Fans. Issue: The utility (convenience) outlets on the side of the blowers are not protected by a circuit breaker. If the outlet becomes overloaded or short-circuited, it could overheat, posing a fire hazard. What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the convenience outlets on the side of the blowers and contact Intertex for a cordset adaptor with an integrated circuit breaker. Affected products What you should do Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Intertex LLC.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the utility (convenience) outlet on the recalled product and contact Intertex for a cordset adaptor with an integrated circuit breaker. For more information, consumers can contact B-Air (Intertex) toll free at 1-800-465-7300 from 8:00-4:30 pm EST from Monday to Friday, by email , or on the company's website . Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
