Product: Various Petzl low-stretch kernmantle ropes. Issue: The ropes may have a deep cut or tape securing two ends of rope together. Affected ropes may fail while in use, posing a fall and injury hazard to the user. What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the ropes and inspect the rope according to the inspection procedure found on the Petzl website. Consumers should immediately stop using the ropes and inspect the rope according to the inspection procedure found on the Petzl website . For more information, consumers may contact Petzl America, Inc. by telephone toll-free at 1 877-807-3805 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MT Monday through Friday, by email or on the company's website . Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
