Victory and Protexus Lithium-ion Battery Packs for Electrostatic Sprayers recalled due to Fire and Explosion Hazards

Issue
The sprayer's rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack can overheat and melt, posing a risk of the product catching fire and/or exploding. As of January 13, 2021 the company has received 3 reports of incidents in Canada with no report of injuries. In the United States, the company received 37 reports of incidents, and 9 reports of property damage.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the electrostatic sprayers with the recalled battery pack, remove the battery pack and dispose of it in accordance with the applicable transportation and waste requirements for lithium-ion batteries, depending on your location . Consumers may contact Victory Innovations for a free replacement battery pack. For more information, consumers can contact Victory Innovations toll free at 1-888-674-2482 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm ET Monday to Friday or by Email or Online . This is a Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC), and Victory Innovations. Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
