Klein Tools Non-Contact Voltage Tester (NCVT-1) recalled due to Electric Shock Hazard

Issue
Product: Klein Tools Non-Contact Voltage Tester (NCVT-1). Issue: When the on/off button is depressed and not released, the tool will falsely indicate that it is ready to detect voltage, however it will not detect the presence of voltage until the on/off button is released, posing an electric shock hazard to the consumer if they believe there is no voltage present from an electric source. What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Klein Tools for a replacement. Affected products What you should do Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Klein Tools, Inc.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Klein Tools Inc. to receive a replacement. Consumers can contact Klein Tools at ncvt1recall@kleintools.com or by calling the Klein Tools Recall Hotline by dialing toll-free 800-527-3099 between 7:00AM and 6:00PM Central time. Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
