Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that the magnets do not meet the magnetic force requirements of the Toys Regulations and pose an ingestion hazard . The results of swallowing small powerful magnets can be very serious and life-threatening. Swallowing incidents have often resulted in considerable damage to the gastrointestinal tissues and required emergency surgical treatment. For survivors, there can be long-term health consequences. Consumers should immediately take the recalled magnets away from children and return to Ami Ventures Inc. for a refund.
