Recall Re-Announcement: Ravin® Crossbows Nocks Recalled due to Laceration Hazard

Product: White arrow nocks used for Ravin ® brand Crossbows. Issue: If the white nock is not fully engaged with the bowstring, the Ravin ® Crossbow can fail to discharge when the trigger is pulled and can result in the bow discharging while re-nocking of the arrow, posing a laceration hazard to users. What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the white nocks and contact Ravin ® Crossbows for replacement orange nocks. Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Ravin ® Crossbows, LLC.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the white nocks and contact Ravin ® Crossbows to exchange them for free with replacement orange nocks and to receive a merchandise credit. Consumers should follow the manufacturer's instructions and maintenance guidelines for continued safe operation of the crossbows and nocks. For more information, consumers may contact Ravin ® Crossbows by telephone toll-free at 1- 888-298-6335 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CDT Monday to Friday, email at nockupdate@ravincrossbows.com , or by accessing the Ravin ® website and clicking on "Safety & Instruction" then "Notices" for more information. Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
