Product: Magnussen Nova B1428-10 5-Drawer Chest. Issue: The 5-Drawer chest may tip-over if not anchored to the wall. What to do: Immediately stop using the chest if it is not anchored to the wall and place the unit in an area where a child cannot access it. Affected products What you should do Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Magnussen Home Furnishings Inc.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the chest and place the unit in an area where a child cannot access it. Consumers may contact Magnussen Home Furnishings Inc. for a refund of the retail price of the chest, less depreciation for well-used units. For more information, consumers may contact Magnussen Home Furnishings Inc. toll-free at 1-833-748-0210 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, by email at recall@magnussen.com or online and click on "Safety Recall" at the top of the page for more information. Consumers are asked to provide a picture of their date code sticker and remove the drawer slides from the chest for mailing back to Magnussen. Magnussen will provide packaging and prepaid shipping labels to facilitate returns. Magnussen will also offer to send consumers a free tip restraint for self-installation upon request. Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
