Product: Rawlings Sporting Goods CH MACH Catcher's Helmets. Issue: The back plate of the catcher’s helmet can fail to protect the player, posing a risk of head injury to the user. What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the catcher's helmets and contact Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. for a free replacement plate or refund, as applicable. Affected products What you should do Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled catcher’s helmets and contact Rawlings to receive a free replacement back plate for head sizes 7.5 and below or a full refund for head sizes above 7.5. For more information, consumers may contact Rawlings Sporting Goods Company by telephone toll-free at 1-800-741-7205 Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., by email or visit the company's website . Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
