LUS Hair Dryer and Diffuser recalled due to risk of electric shock

Product: LUS Hair Dryer and Diffuser. Issue: The recalled product is marked as conforming to the standard UL 859; however, the product does not have an immersion protection plug, which poses a risk of electric shock in homes without Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI) if immersed in water. What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact LUS Distribution Inc. for disposal instructions and to obtain a full refund. Affected products What you should do Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and LUS Distribution Inc.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact LUS Distribution Inc. for disposal instructions and to obtain a full refund. For more information, consumers may contact LUS Distribution Inc. via email or by telephone at 1-888-395-4998, Monday to Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm EST. Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
