Product: Certain Lochinvar Condensing Gas Boilers and Condensing Gas Combi Boilers. Issue: The boiler's flue grommet can deteriorate and dislodge during use, and allow the boiler to emit carbon monoxide, posing a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. What to do: Consumers should immediately contact the installer or a qualified technician to schedule a free repair. Affected products What you should do Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Lochinvar, LLC.
What to do
Consumers should immediately contact the installer or a qualified technician to schedule a free repair. Consumers who continue use of the boilers while awaiting repair should have working carbon monoxide alarm outside of sleeping areas and on every level of the home. Consumers in the province of Quebec may find a qualified service technician by calling Trilex at 1-450-704-0947 to schedule a "Flue Grommet Upgrade." Consumers in all other provinces and territories may contact Aqua-Tech Sales and Marketing Inc. at 1-866-594-0767, ext. 127 for assistance in finding a qualified service technician in your location to perform this upgrade. For more information, consumers may contact Lochinvar toll-free at 1-833-232-9706 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET Monday through Friday. Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission's website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
