56100 Tactec Plate Carriers recalled due to Injury Hazard

The cable in the quick release system of the plate carrier can separate from the handle preventing swift removal of the carrier in an emergency situation, which could pose an injury hazard. As of November 10, 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled plate carriers and contact 5.11 for a free replacement of the cable system. Consumers may contact 5.11 Customer Support team at 1-866-451-1726 Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM PST or go to their website to email them for a free replacement cable. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products that pose a danger to human health or safety from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents or concerns related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
