Husqvarna® branded Automower 435X AWD and Automower 535 AWD robotic lawnmowers recalled due to Fire Hazard

The battery may degrade after 1,450 charging cycles due to the current charging pattern and overheat, posing a fire hazard. As of November 15, 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries. Internationally, the company has received 5 reports of incidents resulting in the product overheating damaging the product and/or charging station.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Husqvarna to obtain information on product repair. For automowers with greater than 1,200 charging cycles, consumers should contact Husqvarna to make arrangements for a free battery replacement. For all other automowers, Husqvarna will provide two software updates through the Automower® Connect App, which, upon acceptance of the updates, will automatically be installed free of charge and eliminate the risk of battery degradation.
