Husqvarna® branded Automower 435X AWD and Automower 535 AWD robotic lawnmowers recalled due to Fire Hazard

Issue
The battery may degrade after 1,450 charging cycles due to the current charging pattern and overheat, posing a fire hazard. As of November 15, 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries. Internationally, the company has received 5 reports of incidents resulting in the product overheating damaging the product and/or charging station.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Husqvarna to obtain information on product repair. For automowers with greater than 1,200 charging cycles, consumers should contact Husqvarna to make arrangements for a free battery replacement. For all other automowers, Husqvarna will provide two software updates through the Automower® Connect App, which, upon acceptance of the updates, will automatically be installed free of charge and eliminate the risk of battery degradation. For more information, consumers can contact Husqvarna by telephone toll-free at 1-877-257-6921 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST, Monday to Friday or by email . Consumers can also visit Husqvarna’s website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
