GE, Moffat, GE Profile, Insignia, and Haier brand free-standing and slide-in gas and electric ranges recalled due to tip-over hazard

In some homes, the ranges could tip-over if a heavy weight is placed on an open oven door, posing a risk of burn injuries from hot food or liquids in cooking containers.

What to do
Consumers should not place any heavy objects on the open oven door and contact MC Commercial Inc. to schedule a free inspection and repair. For more information, consumers may contact MC Commercial Inc. online , or by phone at 1-833-316-2733 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday for an inspection. Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission’s website . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
