American Angler Electric Fillet Knife recalled due to laceration hazard

The trigger mechanism on some American Angler Electric Fillet Knife (“EFK”) units can become stuck in the “on” position, posing a potential laceration hazard. As of December 17, 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 23 reports of the trigger mechanism becoming stuck in the “on” position. No injuries have been reported to the company.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the EFK, unplug the unit, and cut the power cord. Contact Scott Fetzer Consumer Brands for a free replacement. Consumers may view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission’s website .
