Lightform LED Projectors recalled due to Fire Hazard

The projector fan’s software can cause the fan to malfunction and overheat, posing a fire hazard. As of November 15, 2021, the company has received three reports of incidents, but no property damage or injuries beyond distortions of the plastic of the product have been reported in Canada.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled LED Projectors. Original Canadian purchasers of the affected product have been contacted directly by Lightform to facilitate the software upgrade. Consumers who have not been notified directly, should contact Lightform for a free firmware upgrade to fix the software issue. Consumers may contact Lightform at 1-855-242-5066 Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM PST or online . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
