Dyna-One Energy Absorber Lanyard recalled by manufacturer due to injury hazard

The lanyards have recently been found not to meet one CSA specification requirement and can produce higher than expected maximum arresting forces in the event of a fall in extreme wet and frozen conditions, posing a potential injury hazard. As of January 17, 2022, the company has received no report of incident in Canada, and no report of injuries.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Dyna-One Energy Absorber Lanyard and contact the manufacturer for a replacement product. For more information, consumers can contact PIP Canada by telephone at 1-877-446-3278 from 8am to 6pm EST Monday to Friday, by email at orders@pipcanada.ca or visit the company website www.pipcanada.ca . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
