GE Brand Bottom Freezer, French Door Refrigerators Recalled Due to Fall Hazard

In some products, the freezer drawer handle can detach when the consumer tries to open the freezer drawer, posing a fall hazard to consum ers. As of April 8, 2022, the company has received no reports of injuries in Canada. In the United States, GE Appliances, a Haier Company has received 37 reports of injuries, including three serious injuries from falling while attempting to open the freezer drawer.

What to do
Consumers should contact MC Commercial Inc. for a free inspection and repair. Once inspected or repaired, the product can continue to be used, sold or redistributed.
