In some products, a refrigerator door hinge may break, posing a potential impact hazard. As of May 24, 2022, the company has received no reports of refrigerator door hinge breakages in Canada, and no reports of injuries. In the Unites States, the company has received 139 reports of refrigerator door hinge loosening or becoming detached, including five reports of injuries.

Consumers should contact Hisense Canada to schedule an appointment with a service technician to replace the refrigerator door hinges. For more information, consumers can contact Hisense Canada by telephone at 1-855-344-7367, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm ET, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm ET, or by email at canadasupport@hisense.com or visit the company website to schedule a service appointment. Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and Hisense Canada. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
