Multi-Function Emergency Tool recalled due to potential product failure during an emergency

Issue
The plastic threads on the battery compartment of this multi-function emergency tool were not properly moulded. This may cause the end with the seat belt cutter to come off, preventing the tool from being used correctly during an emergency. As of June 1, 2022, the company has received one incident report with no injuries in Canada.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Multi-Function Emergency Tool and return it to Princess Auto Limited for a full refund. For more information, consumers can contact Princess Auto Limited by telephone at 1-800-665-8685 between 6:00AM and 9:00PM CST Monday through Friday, or Saturday and Sunday between 8:00AM and 5:30PM CST. The company may also be contacted by email at mailorder@princessauto.com or by visiting the website Princess Auto . Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
