Coda Pendant light fixture by Tech Lighting recalled due to risk of impact injury

Issue
The glass Coda pendant light fixtures can detach from their electrical cord, causing the fixture to fall unexpectedly, posing a risk of impact injury to nearby users. As of June 7, 2022, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the Unites States, the company has received 2 confirmed reports of fixtures detaching and no reports of injuries.

What to do
Consumers should immediately prevent people from going under the recalled light fixtures and contact Tech Lighting to obtain a free repair kit. Consumers will need to schedule installation by a certified technician, and Tech Lighting will reimburse the consumer for the service. For more information, consumers can contact Tech Lighting toll-free at 888-475-1136 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or by email at techlightingcs@visualcomfortco.com , or online and click on the recall link at the bottom of the home page. Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and VC Brands, LLC. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
