Cervélo R5 and Caledonia-5 bicycles and ST31 LT replacement stems recalled due to fall hazard

The handlebars on the bicycles may slip in the stem in the event a significant vertical load is applied, which may increase the risk of a loss of control, posing a fall hazard to riders. As of September 14, 2022 , the company has received no report of incident or injury in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 15 reports of incidents and one report of injury.

Fall hazard

Consumers should immediately stop using the Model Year 2022 Cervélo R5 and Caledonia-5 bicycles, and Cervélo bicycles with the affected ST31 LT replacement stems, and contact an authorized Cervélo dealer to arrange for a free repair to replace the faceplate.
