The instructions for use on the packaging are incorrect, posing an electric shock hazard. As of October 7, 2022 , the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the affected electrical switch and verify that the product is installed correctly. Consumers with an affected unit should disconnect power to it and verify that the smooth wire conductor is installed in the switch’s base instead of the ribbed wire. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
