MYX II Stationary Exercise Bikes recalled due to injury hazard

Issue
Myx has received reports that the pedals of the MYX II indoor stationary exercise bike can become detached if not properly installed, posing a scrape, bruising, or fall hazard to consumers. As of October 16, 2022, Myx has received 25 reports of pedal detachment from Canadian consumers. Of those reports, 4 consumers reported injuries in the nature of falls or bruises. In the United States, Myx has also received 839 reports of pedal detachment from consumers. Of those reports, 71 consumers reported injuries in the nature of falls, bruises, scrapes, bruises or cuts.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled exercise bikes until the pedals are properly tightened per the instructions that Myx is providing consumers via email. Consumers should contact Myx to schedule a free, in-home repair if their bike’s pedals have previously detached and have not already been repaired by Myx . For more information, consumers can contact Myx by telephone toll-free at 1-855-898-1275, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PST, or visit the company website .
