The star-shaped support base of the chair may unexpectedly detach, posing a fall and injury hazard. As of December 19, 2022, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada. Worldwide, the company has received 19 reports of the star-shaped support base detaching, with 5 reports of injuries from the fall.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled chair and return the product to an IKEA Canada store for a refund.
