Hot Chocolate Pots recalled due to Fire Hazard

The hot chocolate pots are mislabeled as microwave safe. If microwaved, the metallic paint on the pots can spark, posing a fire hazard. As of January 12, 2023, the company has received no reports of incident and no reports of injury in Canada or the United States.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pots and contact Williams-Sonoma for instructions on how to return the product for a full refund plus a $20 gift card. For more information, consumers can contact Williams-Sonoma by telephone toll-free at 1-855-801-9416 from 7:00 am to 12:00 am ET Monday Through Friday, by email or visit the company’s website . Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Williams-Sonoma Inc. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
