Ovation Protégé Equestrian Helmets recalled due to Impact Injury Hazard

Issue
The recalled helmets fail to meet the impact requirements of the ASTM F1163-15 standard for this type of helmet, posing an impact injury hazard to riders who fall. As of January 24, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada or the United States.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and return them to the retailer they were purchased from or to any Ovation authorized dealer for a free replacement Ovation Deluxe Schooler helmet or contact English Riding Supply for a $60 (USD) refund. For more information, consumers can contact English Riding Supply by telephone at 1-866-569-1600 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, by email at helmets@englishridingsupply.com or visit the company website: www.englishridingsupply.com/ProtegeRecall or www.ovationriding.com/ProtegeRecall . Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and English Riding Supply, LLC. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
