MotoMaster Chain Lube recalled due to lack of child-resistant packaging

Issue
The recalled product does not meet the child-resistant packaging requirements of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. The lack of child-resistant packaging could result in unintentional exposure to the products, posing serious illness or injury hazards. As of April 21, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and return the product to any Canadian Tire Store for a full refund. For more information, consumers may contact the Canadian Tire Call Centre by telephone toll-free at 1-800-387-8803. The call centre is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST, and on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
