Issue
The brake hose may eject or pull out from the brake lever, posing a fall hazard to riders. As of June 5, 2023, the company has received 13 reports of incidents and no injuries in Canada, and 195 reports of incidents and no injuries in the United States.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact an authorized Trek retailer for an inspection and, if warranted, a repair free of charge to the consumer. To determine if a bicycle is affected, consumers can enter their bicycle’s serial number on Trek Bikes website . For more information, consumers can contact Trek Bicycle Canada by telephone toll-free at 1-800-373-4594, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT, or visit their website . Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and Trek Bicycle Canada. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
