Aiper Elite Pro GS100 robotic swimming pool vacuum cleaner recalled due to fire hazard

Issue
The Elite Pro's battery can overheat if the charging cord is incorrectly inserted into the charging socket, causing a risk for thermal burn or fire hazard. As of July 14, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 17 reports of incidents and 1 report of a consumer burning the tip of his finger but did not need or seek medical attention . No property damage has been reported.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Aiper Elite Pro and return the product to Aiper for a free replacement. For more information, consumers can contact Aiper by telephone at 1- (888)968-0666 daily from 9:00am to 9:00pm EST , by email at recall@aiper.com or visit the company website www.Aiper.com/elite-pro-recall . Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Shenzhen Aiper Intelligent Co., Ltd. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
