Honda Outboard Engines recalled due to injury hazard

Due to a manufacturing issue, there may be insufficient durability for the shift actuator link rod which can cause breakage during normal operation of the outboard motor. Link breakage will lead to the inability to shift the outboard motor, which may increase the risk of crash or injury. As of October 27, 2023 the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Honda Outboard Engines and contact an authorized Honda Marine dealer to schedule an appointment for a free repair. Honda is contacting all known purchasers directly.
