HoMedics Therapist Select Percussion Personal Massagers Recalled Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

Issue
The massagers can overheat while charging, posing fire and burn hazards. As of December 21 th , 2023, HoMedics has received 4 reports of overheating while charging, in Canada, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, Homedics has received 13 reports of overheating while charging and 1 report of a burn to a consumer’s thumb.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using and charging the recalled massagers and contact Homedics for instructions to receive a full refund or a refund in the form of a credit towards any Homedics product including a 20% bonus. For more information, consumers may contact Homedics by telephone at 8 88-225-7378 from 8:30 am to 5 pm EST Monday through Friday, or visit the company website at: Homedics.ca/customer-support/ and click on Recalls. Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and FKA Distributing Co. LLC, d/b/a Homedics. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
