Klein Tools Portable Power Station and Blackfire Portable Power Station recalled due to fire and burn hazard

Issue
The top and bottom of the internal inverter boards of the power stations can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. As of December 20, 2023 the company has received no reports of overheating in Canada, and no reports of injury.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and dispose of lithium ion batteries according to local municipal transportation and waste requirements for lithium-ion batteries. C ustomers should contact Klein Tools by telephone toll-free at 1-800-553-4876 from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM CST Monday through Friday, or by email at KTB1000PAC1000recall@kleintools.com with verification that the power station has been recycled, as well as the serial number of the battery and proof of purchase if available. Klein Tools will refund customers for their purchase. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold, or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
