Issue
Health Canada has determined that the blinds do not meet Canada's Corded Window Coverings Regulations and pose a risk of strangulation. Young children may pull looped cords around their neck, or become entangled in the cords, causing a strangulation hazard and even death. In addition, the products can also release small parts that pose a risk of choking to young children. Children can become entangled in blinds cords, which can quickly lead to strangulation and even death. Health Canada recommends cordless window coverings.
