Elin Dessert Plates Sold by Anthropologie Recalled due to the Presence of Cadmium

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that the recalled Elin Dessert Plates contain cadmium in excess of allowable limits. Cadmium is highly toxic, especially to children. A range of serious health effects have been associated with exposure to cadmium, including anemia, vomiting, diarrhea, serious brain injury, convulsions, coma, as well as effects related to the liver, kidneys, heart and immune system. In extreme cases, there have been deaths. As of March 21, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and dispose of them in regular household garbage. Customers who purchased the product in-store may choose to return the product to any Anthropologie store for a full refund. If the product was purchased online, customers may contact Anthropologie using the contact information below to receive a full refund. Anthropologie is contacting all online purchasers by email.
