Recall re-announcement and expanded recall: DR Power Equipment Branded Walk-Behind, Tow Behind Leaf Vacuums and Leaf Blower recalled due to laceration hazard

Components can come loose inside the unit and be ejected, posing a laceration hazard to users and bystanders. As of December 16th, 2025, the company has received no reports of injuries or incidents in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 54 reports of incidents and no reports of injury.

Laceration hazard

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact DR Power for a free repair kit, that includes a metal outer shield to be bolted onto the existing chute of the recalled leaf vacuums and installation instructions. Consumers who responded to the original recall should nevertheless contact DR Power for the new remedy.
