Medline Adult Portable Bed Rails recalled due to entrapment hazard

When the recalled bed rails are attached to an adult’s bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress. This poses a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation . As of May 27, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 2 reports of entrapment resulting in death and 1 report of injury.
