Delta Cycle Ceiling Hoist with Straps recalled due to injury hazard

Issue
The plastic clip used to hold larger items may fail, causing the larger items to fall and presenting an injury hazard. Use of this product without the use of straps (i.e. just a bicycle) does not present a hazard. As of August 7 th , 2024 the company has received no reports of the plastic clip failing in Canada, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received 4 reports of incidents, one of which involved a minor injury.

What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Delta Cycle Ceiling Hoist with straps and contact Delta Cycle for replacement straps. Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Delta Cycle. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form .
